Meet Our Support Team
Erin Caitlin Sweeney, Operations Manager
Erin first met Atava as a graduate student at CIIS. As a student in Atava’s Indigenous Medicine class, Erin was first introduced to her ancestors and her life was forever changed. She has been on the journey of ancestral healing and the recovery of her indigenous mind ever since. She wishes to express deep gratitude toward Atava as her teacher and friend.
Erin interned here while in grad school and joined the team in her current role in 2018. She is the point person here at Ancestral Apothecary. She’s the one behind all of the emails and does her best to keep everything organized and in flow. She feels blessed to be a part of the Ancestral Apothecary community.
Erin also works as a holistic health practitioner, educator, and group facilitator. She works with folks to support them in the process of remembering — to remember their innate connection with the natural world, the practices of their ancestors, to remember who they are. She is passionate about how this work can help heal the core wounds of the collective and dismantle systems of oppression. She holds monthly New Moon Circles and teaches classes and workshops in the Bay Area. For more information visit her website at www.erincaitlinsweeney.com.
Angela Angel, School Coordinator & Admin Assistant
I’d like to introduce a new member of the Ancestral Apothecary team, Angela Angel. Angela joined us in 2014 as an admin assistant, program coordinator and web site designer. I met Angela in 2013 as part of the Women’s Healing Clinic Collective. She’s a talented healer, artist and very skillful at managing the logistics of our growing school. If you have questions about our classes or are an incoming student, you’ll be talking with her. Welcome Angela!
Angela Angel is a healer, medium/channeler and ceremonialist. She has continued her indigenous lineage as a young traditional healer (Bontoc and Ibaloi tribes- Igorot, Philippines). Angela received a vision directing her to explore how ritual and our innate psychic abilities can translate in the “modern world” as a step to bridge our ancestral knowledge and to begin healing historical trauma. She has since worked to integrate this directly with her social justice work. You can find her at otherwaysofseeing.com | natureasmuse.etsy.com
