  • Summer 2018: Self-care Sisterhood: Folk Medicine Making for Women of Color

    Our grandmothers lived closer to all the things that make us feel more human and more whole. In this class we will begin our journey into reclaiming herbalism and self-care by exploring the kitchen, and medicine making, as a site of revolution and nourishment.

  • Summer 2018: Caring for patients facing life threatening illness

    As herbalist, often our training and practices are focused on life, survival and health. How does our care change when we are working with a patient who is facing a life threatening diagnosis?

  • Summer 2018: Plant Abun(dance)

    Yes that’s right, we will be dancing with the plants! No dance experience is required, and the movement activities will be structured so that people of all abilities and ranges of motion will be able to participate. Please join us for this joyful and embodied exploration of our relationships with plants.

  • Summer 2018: Power of The Seed

    Each stage of a plant’s growth has a specific medicinal quality and potency. A plant in it’s fruiting and seeding body shares with us it’s wisdom from their youth and maturity. We will work with fruits and seeds from all over the world. We will be preparing them in their traditional medicinal and culinary ways– including as topical and edible oils and butters and plant-based digestive enzymes.

  • Summer 2018: Ancestral Remembrance: An Introductory Weekend

    The stories of our ancestors live within us, they are in our bones, in our blood. Their wisdom and their wounds, their grief and their beauty, have all been passed down to us. Our wise and loving ancestors are calling to us – asking to be seen, to be remembered, and they’re offering their support to guide us on our healing journeys.

  • Herbal Allies, An Introduction to Herbal Medicine, Fall 2018

    This class will focus on building our relationship with our herbal allies. Each class will focus in-depth on one or more herbal medicines and we will learn how they work both physically and energetically . We will learn recipes and other ways to incorporate the plants into our lives.

  • Matriz Sagrada, Fall 2018

    In this class you will be introduced to ancient techniques that will help you connect to and heal your matriz/womb/belly brain.

  • Cecemmana Year 1, 2020

    This program is dedicated to planting seeds in our diverse Bay Area communities for future herbalists. This 400 hour training will provide students a solid foundation in the art, science & spirituality of herbal medicine from a multi-cultural perspective.

  • The Curandera/o’s Toolkit- Oakland, Fall 2018

    Learn healing skills steeped in ancient wisdom to provide basic health care to yourself & your family. This is a two part class with differnt topics covered in the fall and spring series.

  • Amhran na Draoi: An Introduction to the Magic and Medicine of the Celts, Dec 2018

    This is a FUNDRAISER for the scholarship fund for the 2017 Cecemmana Program

    In this two-day weekend class, we will journey together through the mystical and medicinal past of the Celtic people, stopping along the way to learn mythology, indigenous spiritual beliefs, plant wisdom, and the basics of unlocking and working with magic from a pan-Celtic lens.

  • Cecemmana Year 2: Deepening Roots, 2019

    Year Two of Cecemmana is to help students build a deeper connection to the plants and to their ancestral medicine practices.  Our intention is to support each person’s self-healing journey while building an energetic foundation to walk in the world as a healer.
