Join Erin Caitlin Sweeney, MA and Marisol Castillo, MA for an introduction weekend of ancestral remembrance.
The stories of our ancestors live within us, they are in our bones, in our blood. Their wisdom and their wounds, their grief and their beauty, have all been passed down to us. Our wise and loving ancestors are calling to us – asking to be seen, to be remembered, and they’re offering their support to guide us on our healing journeys.
Through creative expression, guided meditations, and group integration, we will explore our relationship with our ancestors. We will create safe and sacred space to remember. To remember those who came before us, to remember the land we come from, to remember our innate connection with the natural world, and to remember the practices of our ancestors, those who lived in relationship to the Earth. To remember who we are. We will come together in community to honor our ancestors and take steps toward healing because when we heal ourselves, we heal our ancestors.
This class will support you to connect with your ancestors and the traditions of your ancestral lineage. Both Marisol and Erin offer their sincere gratitude to their teacher Kimmy Johnson, who was a student of Apela Colorado’s in the Traditional Knowledge and the Recovery of the Indigenous Mind program. Erin would also like to offer her gratitude to her teacher Atava Garcia Swiecicki.
