Tracey’s life passion is to promote deep healing and connection for us as individuals, as communities and for the earth through her pursuits as an energetic herbalist, student and teacher of yoga, and community organizer. Inspired by a deep awe and joy from working with plants, her practice is rooted in helping people find balance across the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of their beings. With a strong advocacy background spanning over two decades in the environmental health and justice, food justice and toxics movements, Tracey has worked on health and healing issues from many angles. Since 2005, she has studied plant medicine at the Ohlone Center for Herbal Studies, the Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine (studying Native American energetic herbalism) and with herbalist Matthew Wood. In 2015, she lived briefly at Findhorn, a spiritual community in northeast Scotland, exploring her Scottish roots and connecting with the plants. She has been a clinical herbal practitioner in Oakland since 2007 with a private practice in Energetic Herbalism (for which she makes all of her own medicine) and for several years as a volunteer at the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, a complementary clinic for low-income women with cancer.
